Description
It contains monacolin K and other active ingredients that contribute to normalize the levels of cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood, contributing to the normal functioning of the heart.
Aterofine comes in the form of 870mg vegetable capsules, as the main asset is monacolin K from fermented red rice yeast, (Fermented red rice is obtained from the fermentation of Oryza sativa rice with a specific strain of Monascus purpureus), and policosanol (long chain alcohol from sugarcane)Additionally, Aterofine contains some natural antioxidants such as astaxanthin, lipoic acid and coenzyme Q10, folic acid and vegetable extracts such as milk thistle and artichoke are also part of this product.
How does it work?
Aterofine lowers blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels, preventing atherosclerosis and improving cardiac function.
It has three effects:
First:
Monacolin K (is a natural Lovastatin), is the most active monacolin from fermented red rice yeast, it inhibits the action of the hydroxymethylglutaryl CoA reductase (HMG CoA) enzyme that intervenes in the synthesis or formation of cholesterol, likewise Policosanol form seems to slow the synthesis of cholesterol in the liver and increases the hepatic reabsorption of LDL ("bad") cholesterol. All drugs intended to lower blood cholesterol levels used today pursue this same goal.
Second:
The only way to accumulate cholesterol in the circulatory system is oxidized (oxycholesterol), which means that the presence of some natural antioxidants such as Astaxanthin, Lipoic Acid and Coenzyme Q10 is vital because it prevents cholesterol oxidation. In this way we reduce the risk of atherosclerosis and its consequences on the cardiovascular system. Folic acid is necessary to maintain the normal metabolism of a substance called homocysteine, which is found naturally in our body. How to use:
