Lamberts Siberian Ginseng 1,500 mg 60 Tablets

Over the last three decades a considerable number of scientific papers have been published on the chemistry, pharmacology and clinical effects of Siberian ginseng.

This is also called eleuthero or eleutherococcus; is a distant relative of Korean and American ginseng and is originally from southeastern Russia, northern China, Korea and Japan.

Being a powerful physiological adaptogen, Siberian ginseng is used to combat stress and fatigue, but it is more usual to use it as a preventive agent rather than as a product for the recovery of these states. Unlike Panax ginseng, Siberian ginseng does not contain ginsenosides and is therefore considered a "softer" preparation.

The key components of Siberian ginseng are a broad group of active compounds called eleutherosides. Seven major eleutherosides have been identified and most studies focus on eleutherosides B and E, which play a key role in immune function.

These substances are often used as markers during the standardization process.
