APPLICATIONS Recommended in cases of: Insomnia Hyperactivity Seizures PROPERTIES The root of the valerian plant is used, rich in essential oil, which is composed of organic acids, such as velerienic, isovalerenic and alpha-oxyvaleenic acid; It also contains terpenes, tannins and substances in the form of esters, with notable sedative effects from the group of "epoxy-iridioides". Valerian, thanks to the joint action of all its compounds, has been used since the beginning to calm the nerves, tachicardias, insomnia and migraines. It acts as a sedative of the central nervous system, anticonvulsant and inducer of sleep. The alcoholic extract also acts against stomach pains. It is recommended in cases of hyperexcitability, insomnia, nervous tics or seizures. PRESENTATION Pearls: in containers of 60 410mg pearls. Liquid extract: in 60 ml containers. Capsules: 60 capsules of 600mg. DIRECTIONS FOR USE The dose is highly variable, depending on the condition to be treated. For cases of insomnia, one or two capsules are recommended before going to bed. In cases of nervousness and hyperactivity, this dose can be increased up to four times throughout the day. Consultation with a physician is recommended to advise the patient on the appropriate dose; generally two capsules daily. SIDE EFFECTS / CONTRAINDICATIONS An excess of valerian can cause the opposite effect, that is, aggravation of nervousness. In very high doses, it can cause nausea and gastritis.
