Charcoal has had many uses since very ancient times. For instance, the first recorded use of charcoal for medicinal purposes comes from Egyptian papyri around 1500 B.C.

The charcoal in our capsules is made from carbonized coconut shells.

After carbonization, the charcoal is subsequently activated to increase its properties.

The activation of the charcoal is carried out at high temperature in different gas atmospheres that influence pore development and pore size, which in turn increases adsorption capacity.
